Welcome to the Yesterday's KPTV Employee Section!
For 50 years, KPTV was the home of some of the best television anywhere. And, it
was also the home of some of the best people in the business. For those of us
lucky enough to have worked for KPTV, these people were part of our family.
Now, as times change, and the
TV business changes with it, we dedicate these pages to the women and men who
made KPTV their home during its first half-century. Others will, no doubt, carry
the torch for the next 50 years and beyond. But this website is for the
pioneers, those who worked at KPTV during the "golden age," right up
to those last, lingering days under NewsCorp ownership. It's been a wild and
sometimes bumpy ride, but the memories and good feelings we shared will continue
to live in our hearts . . . and on this website..
The employee section is a
little bare right now, but in the future, we hope it will become a gathering
place for our family members; a place to stop by, visit for a bit, and let
everyone else know how we're doing.
Feel free to drop us a line,
ask questions, tell us your news, or just reminisce about those special days of
yore. You'll find lots of pictures here, and as time goes by, more information
about the programs and people that made KPTV what it was. We can always use more
pictures and information, so if you have any you'd be willing to share, let us
know. We'll be happy to post them and give you credit.
For now, look around, take the
tour, and remember why KPTV will always be that special place.
